Case Study :
As the go-to MTC Removals for many clients both new and returning, we were asked by one of our previous satisfied customers to move the entire contents of their 3-bed flat in Notting Hill, W11 over to a new 6-bed property nearby.
This move was completed in 2 days. We first sent a team of 4 movers on day one to pack everything up, then on the second day, we completed the move using 4 movers and 2 Luton vans.
Although there were four flights of stairs at the destination address, there were no real difficulties with the move, and everything was completed in a total of 18 hours. Our customer was extremely happy with the service that we provided, and we were glad to be able to help them with their move.

Moving to East London? When is the best time of year to do so?
We discovered that August is the best month to move house in East London, with 12.8% of movers choosing this month to book their removals. This is unsurprising as Summer is often a popular time of year for removals.
The school holidays in August mean less disruption for children, whilst the weather means brighter and longer days to complete your journey. If you’re planning a Summer move, don’t forget to compare removal quotes early to reduce the amount of competition.
Agreeing with the rest of the UK, Winter is the least popular time of year to move house in East London. February, the coldest month of the year, is unsurprisingly the least popular month to move, with just 8.2% of people booking their removals this month. The weather and shorter days make moving a more difficult task in Winter, so it’s no surprise that most people avoid it if they can. If you have to move in Winter, make sure to plan ahead and give yourself plenty of time to get everything done.

East London is an area of Greater London, England, east of the Roman and medieval walled City of London and north of the River Thames. Forming part of the East End, it includes much of the historic core of London.
It is within the London Boroughs of Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, Bethnal Green, Poplar and Stepney. Although not formally defined as an area on its own for administrative purposes, East London nonetheless possesses a distinct identity with its diverse cosmopolitan character.
This can be seen in its vibrant nightlife which attracts people from all over the city and beyond, as well as its many eclectic shops and markets which reflect the diverse range of cultures represented in the area.
If you’re looking for things to do in East London, you won’t be disappointed. There’s something for everyone, whether you’re into street art or want to explore the area’s history. Here are just a few of the best things to do in East London:
1. Take a walk through Shoreditch and see some of the amazing street art on display. You’ll find pieces by famous artists like Banksy, as well as up-and-coming talent.
2. Visit Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park, one of the largest parks in London and home to over 1 million burials. It’s a peaceful and calming place to take a stroll and explore nature.
3. Learn about the
East London is an area of London, England that is east of the City of London and north of the River Thames. Historically it was part of the County of London, but since 1965 it has been part of the Greater London area. It is divided into the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, and Lewisham. The area has a population of roughly 3.6 million people.
East London is a culturally diverse area with a large Bangladeshi community in Tower Hamlets, a large Turkish community in Hackney, and a large Caribbean community in Newham.
Absolutely! East London is an amazing neighborhood with a ton to offer residents. The atmosphere is fantastic and there’s always something going on, whether it’s a farmers market or a street festival. Plus, the diversity here is incredible – you’ll find people from all walks of life residing in this vibrant community. The only downside is that housing prices have been on the rise in recent years, but overall East London is an excellent place to call home.
Lots of great suggestions above. Make sure to think about all your priorities for the area (quiet/busy, residential/by the high street, transport links), that will help narrow it down. Might not be a huge factor right now, but you should consider if you’d rather live next to the Tube or the Overground or DLR for future commuting/social plans.
Are you thinking of moving to East London? Maybe you’ve already made the move and are wondering if you chose the right area. Or maybe you’re just curious about what life is like in this part of the city.
There’s no doubt that East London has undergone a transformation in recent years. Once considered a run-down and dangerous part of the city, it is now one of the most vibrant and exciting areas to live in.
So, what’s the best place to live in East London? It really depends on what you’re looking for. If you want to be right in the heart of the action, then Bethnal Green or Shoreditch are probably your best bet. If you’re looking for something a bit more relaxed, then Hackney Wick or Homerton might be more up your street.
Whichever area you choose, you’re sure to have an amazing time living in East London!
If you are talking about knife crimes, hooliganism, gang fights, and stuff like that then well, let me just say, that if you go out to looking for any of these things, it would hardly take you a few hours to land in the “dangerous” places. However, if you keep your head down, do your thing, stay safe and not be too adventurous and go out exploring what living dangerously means, you will be alright.
I used to live around the Bethnal Green area in E. London. Oftentimes, after 11 in the night I would get this creepy vibe of someone either following me or hiding in the bushes just waiting to pounce on me. Nothing ever happened. In fact, I would oftentimes be alone when going back home. And from the tube to my home, it was a walk of about 8 – 10 minutes. So, nothing really happens unless you really want something to.
I understand that being a woman, things might get more dangerous. In that case, I would suggest you to either be accompanied by a bunch of friends. Or, if you happen to be walking home alone, be very aware of your surroundings. Keep your bag close to your chest.
Do NOT use headphones during the night. Don’t talk to anyone. Don’t take out your phone to check your directions at 2 AM in the morning on an empty street. Memorise your way home. And you will be completely safe.
There is no one answer to this question. It depends on where in east London you live, what your personal circumstances are, and what dangers you are specifically concerned about.
That said, some of the areas of east London that are considered more dangerous to live in include Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Newham, and Barking and Dagenham. These areas have higher levels of crime and violence than other parts of the city. However, there are also many safe and thriving communities in east London, so it’s important to do your research before making a decision about where to live.
Lots of relatively poor Indian / South Asian majority neighbourhoods, and relatively poor white neighbourhoods. The more prosperous predominantly white neighbourhoods in East London are mostly further to the East and North East into Essex.
But in Asian neighbourhoods like Stratford there appears to be a visible number of unemployed Asians. They strike me as unemployed graduates. Even though it is a relatively poor area house prices for 3-bedroom houses are still in the £300k to £550k range. But in comparison to Greenwich in South East London where lots of Africans live house prices in East Ham and Stratford, East London have not escalated in the same way. House prices in Greenwich for 3-bedroom houses start at about £750k nowadays.
If you’re looking for a safe place to live in East London, North Chingford is a great option. Right on the border of Essex, North Chingford offers its residents access to beautiful forests, walks, and greenery.
The community feel is strong here, and there’s rarely any serious violence or crime. Plus, the local police station is always nearby. North Chingford is also conveniently located near a train line that can get you into Liverpool Street in just 26 minutes.
Been dwelling on this one for a while and personally find it really interesting , wondering if others had noticed it too. There seems to be some kind of growing bifurcation of accents where I live, especially among the later millennial and Gen Z age groups between a growing number who have picked up what I believe is referred to as the MLE (Multicultural London English) accent and others who literally live in the same areas and went to the same schools who have held onto the more ‘traditional’ Cockney / Estuary accent.
How has this happened? Is it just different sub cultures co-existing but not really inter-mingling? This never seems to have used to be the case – if you look at old videos from the 60s all the way through to the 90s people from these areas are all pretty much speaking with the same dialects.
It’s because we have a lot of second-generation immigrants coming of age. By which I mean, people who were born in London to parents who were born overseas (particularly in places like the Caribbean, West and South-East Africa, the Indian Ocean territories and so on). Many of these people will have grown up speaking two languages or dialects: English outdoors, at school and at work; and either their parents’ first languages, or a dialect/patois of English at home. As the different influences mix over several decades, you get MLE.
However, MLE is only a catch-all term to describe the new phenomenon of English blending with multiple other languages and dialects, and can’t be boiled down to a single recognisable accent. The MLE spoken in Harrow, where there is a huge South Asian population, will sound different to the MLE from Croydon, which has a large Caribbean population, for instance. They aren’t the same accent, but they are named as such.
Essentially, a person’s MLE accent will be shaped by the dialect they speak at home and in their community. That’s why some can be tinged with Jamaican patois, while others can have the rhotic sound of Gujarati, and others will have the low tenor of Eastern European… and of course why others can sound like they are crossed with Cockney. If you have Cockney parents at home, but go to school with a wide cross-section of second-gen immigrants, and are perhaps even taught by an immigrant, your accent will develop as a hybrid.
There is no one answer to this question, as there is a great deal of diversity among people from South East London. However, some common features of the accent include using a lot of slang words and expressions, and speaking with a very pronounced Cockney dialect. This can make it difficult for outsiders to understand what people from South East London are saying, but it is also part of what makes the accent so unique and special.

However, there are a handful of schools that are doing well and have been rated as good or outstanding. Some of these schools include River House Montessori School, Ben Jonson Primary School, Canon Barnett Primary School, Chisenhale Primary School, and Columbia Primary School.

The most popular day to move house in East London is Friday, with 32.9% of movers choosing this day to book their removal company. However, only 4.8%chose Sunday as their moving day, making it the least popular day to move house in East London. With the working week looming, it’s unsurprising that people don’t want to risk adding further chaos by having to unpack and clean their new property. Many banks and conveyancers’ offices will also be closed during this day, which can add to the stress of moving on a Sunday. While it may not be the most convenient day to move, Sunday is likely to be the quietest, which could make for a smoother move.
The best day to move in East London is undoubtedly Saturday. There are a number of reasons for this: first and foremost, many people are off work on Saturdays, so you’ll have more able bodies to help with the move. Additionally, traffic is usually lighter on Saturdays, which means your journey to your new home will be smoother (and quicker). And lastly, most people are in a better mood on weekends – meaning they’re more likely to be patient and helpful if you hit any bumps along the way. So when it comes to moving in East London, Saturday is definitely the best day of the week to do it.

We do understand that moving on Friday might be the most suitable time for you and your family, as you can take the whole weekend to settle in your new apartment or house. Many removal companies in London might charge you extra for their services on this day of week because of the increased demand and significant traffic in the city. Moreover, you might experience various delays on your side such as the transaction of payment to our bank account. If such issues occur, you will have to wait until Monday because of the upcoming weekend to solve the problem. The payment delay might eventually lead to additional charges. At MTC London Removals Company, our main goal is to make sure your removal is going all smoothly without a single hindrance. Therefore, we would ask you to plan your removal on any day except fro Friday.

Yes. MTC Removals is aimed at providing high-quality personalized removal services. In order to keep our promise and guarantee a hassle-free removal, we need some time to plan your removal beforehand. Therefore, it is necessary that you book our services as early as possible. We might be booked up weeks in advance, especially during holiday seasons. Friday and the end of the month rate the most popular removal days. If you are looking for a last-minute moving house, we would recommend opting for mid-week and mid-month – these days are less demanded among our clients, and you might even get our removal services at a reduced price.
FAQ . House removal is a highly individual procedure. The duration of a removal depends of several factors, such as the amount of possessions to be transferred, number of large furniture, how many loaders you are going to hire, and other. Based on our past experience, we would generally estimate that your possessions and furniture will be packed and loaded until lunch, and unloaded after lunch. Unloading usually takes much less time than loading, as our team will not need to pack the boxes and furniture into a small space of the truck. Please keep in mind that this schedule is an estimate only, and in order to provide you with a more precise timing, we need to know more details about your removal. Please contact us at [email], tell us about your removal plans, and we will come back with a quote and an estimate schedule.
Every removal process is individual, and therefore requires different timing and extra services. AT MTC London Removals, we usually charge for our work per hour. However, there might be extra fees depending on the amount of possessions and large furniture to be loaded and moved, day of the week you choose for you removal, your location, distance moving, access availability, and other factors. Please send us an email describing your removal needs at [email protected] , or fill out our Contact Form , and our managers will get back to you with a free no-obligation quote
There are several factors that influence our removals quotation price . Some of the main aspects that affect our pricing are loading and unloading time, time traveling to the destination, and the amount of large furniture or heavy objects to be transferred. If you have a large number of personal possessions to be loaded and unloaded, you may need more porters to clear your property in a given timeframe. Moreover, long distance traveling affects our pricing as it adds up to the total timing of the removal and requires more fuel. If you are willing to get your free no-obligation quote now, send us an email at [email], call us at [phone number] or fill out our Contact Form, and our managers will get back to you as soon as possible.
At MTC London Removals Company, we are open for removals requiring long distance traveling, even if our drivers have to have a night away. However, there are certain aspects that our clients need to pay attention to when ordering long distance removals at our company.
Firstly, please be aware that a fully loaded removal wagon cannot travel fast due to both legal restrictions and technical capacities. Secondly, according to the law, our drivers can legally drive up to 4 1/2 hours in a row, and then they have to make a break of at least 45 minutes. After that they can drive for up to 4 1/2 hours, and finally they are required to have a night away for a minimum of 10 hours. Thirdly, please make sure you arrive to the destination place earlier than our drivers and porters so that you are not charged extra for waiting time.
As every removal case is individual, we will need substantial information to estimate the pricing and turnaround time of your request. In order to receive a personal quote, please provide us with the following details:
East London is traditionally famous for its East End, which is a diverse and multicultural area that is home to many of the capital’s Bangladeshi, Pakistani and Indian communities. It is also well known for its markets, including Brick Lane market, which sells a variety of traditional goods from Asia and the Middle East. East London is also home to Shoreditch, an area that has become increasingly popular in recent years for its vibrant nightlife and hipster cafes and bars. Finally, East London is also famous for being the site of the 2012 Olympic Games.
I still live there- about one third of London’s population live in East London for a start if the post code say E something that is East London-another way is to get on a bus in the City of London.
Which is just north of the river Thames and walk for about an hour- when the buildings start to become shabby and old that is East London-you can also get a boat going East- as rents are high in central and other parts many Londoners are discovering Hackney and Canary Wharf is east where the newspapers are printed-also there are far more Indians in east London.
So, the shops and restaurants will tell you where you are-east London was badly bombed during the war when it had many docks on the river- ships now land near the estuary-refugees now mostly arrive by plane and goods come by truck to Dover 70 miles from London-the biggest change came with the wonderful Olympic Park which hosts sports and big events-the cycling stadium is reckoned to be the best in the world and the surrounding area now has at least 50,000 flats which means over 100,000 people live in the area now- rents are lower than other areas and the flats are modern.
The river is much wider the further east and so the difference between north and south is greater-in central London there are lots of bridges Tower Bridge is the most easterly bridge and it is still in what is really central London the average income in the east is almost certainly half that of the west and bad housing is normal.

Moving is a costly and stressful endeavor. The last thing you want is to be caught off guard by hidden fees or unexpected expenses. That’s why it’s so important to get an accurate estimate of your removal costs before you sign any contracts.
Video survey services are a great way to get an accurate estimate of your removal costs. A professional will come to your home and videotape everything that needs to be packed and moved. They will then provide you with a comprehensive estimate of the costs involved. This is a great way to get an accurate estimate of your removal costs because you can be sure that the professional has taken everything into account.
1. Make sure that the moving company you use is reputable. There are a lot of fly-by-night companies out there that will lowball their estimates and then hit you with hidden fees later on. Do your research and make sure you’re using a moving company that has a good reputation.
2. Get everything in writing. Once you have an estimate, make sure you get it in writing before you sign anything. This way, you can be sure that the price won’t change later on.
3. Compare prices. Don’t just go with the first removal company you find. Get estimates from multiple removal companies so that you can compare prices and services. This will help you get the best deal possible on your move.

So you finally signed the lease on your new place and now the fun begins, or does it? Of coarse its always fun to shop for new furniture and home decor but actually packing up all your stuff, lifting it into a truck and hauling it to your new pad, not so much. But don’t worry we are here to help make your move as seamless as possible.
1) Take photos of your old apartment before you start packing- this will come in handy when you are filling out your final walk through checklist. Make sure to get each room from every angle.
2) Create a budget so moving expenses don’t creep up on you – When creating your budget for the move dont forget to factor in boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, things like that which can add up quickly if you’re not careful.
3) Take inventory and decide what size removal truck you’ll need – Once you start packing its important to keep track of everything so you know what size moving truck you will need and how many trips it will take. No one wants to make 20 trips in their personal vehicle back and forth from their old place to their new one.
4) Start gathering and comparing quotes from moving companies – If you have the budget moving companies can be a real lifesaver. Just make sure to get several quotes before committing to anything.
5) Create a file for all move relate items – This may seem like an obvious one but once you start the packing process things can get overwhelming quickly. Dedicate a folder or even better create a google doc where you can keep track of allmove related items like utility transfers, forwarding mail etc…
6) Channel your inner Top Chef & Start using up pantry & freeze items – Now is the time to use up those half empty bottles of condiments taking up valuable space in your fridge and freezer. No one wants to move perishable items that they’ll never use anyway so try and use them up in the next month or so leading up to the move. Its a win win! You free up space and save money by not having to buy new groceries for awhile.
7) Start sorting everything by what you will keep , donate and discard- This is probably the most daunting task of them all but trust us its worth it in the long run. Going through all your stuff and getting rid of what you no longer need or want will make packing 10 times easier because you wont have to pack/move stuff you dont need anyway. Additionally, its always nice to donate items in good condition that someone else may be able tp use.
8) Start collect any shipping boxes or newspapers that are delivery – If you have friends or family who receive deliveries on a regular basis start asking them to save their boxes for you. Cardboard boxes are essential when moving so the more free ones you can get your hands on the better!
Moving doesn’t have top be torture, with just a little bit of planning ahead it can actually be quite enjoyable…or at least tolerable.
Hopefully these tips help set you off on the right foot towards completing a stress free move!
